JANGA Custom Wetsuits
At JANGA, custom means exactly that: your design, your colors, your technical choices, built by hand from the finest Yamamoto limestone-based material.
Every custom wetsuit is made to order, combining high-quality performance materials with a strong focus on style, individuality, and a perfect fit.
What Is a Custom Wetsuit?
A custom made wetsuit is built specifically for one person — not adapted from a standard size, and not limited to preset designs. Instead of choosing the suit off the rack, you define how your wetsuit should feel, perform, and look.
With a JANGA custom wetsuit, this includes:
- Tailored construction based on body proportions
- Thickness matched to your water temperature
- Material selection for flexibility and warmth
- Full control over colors, panels, and visual design
The result is a wetsuit that fits better, performs better, and reflects your personal style in the water.
Made-to-Order Wetsuits — How the Process Works
At JANGA, we follow a clear made-to-order process designed to keep things simple and precise. And if you’re looking for something special, just let us know — we’re flexible and happy to customize beyond the standard options.
Step 1 — Choose Your Wetsuit Type (Surf, Dive, Impact)
Start by selecting how you’ll use your wetsuit. Surfing, diving, and impact-focused activities place different demands on flexibility, protection, and construction — this choice defines the foundation of your wetsuit build.
Choosing the right wetsuit type ensures the materials, paneling, and reinforcements are matched to how you actually move in the water.
Step 2 — Select Thickness & Water Temperature
JANGA offers 2mm / 3/2mm / 4/3mm / 5/3mm / 5/4mm thickness — with optional hooded configurations.
Step 3 — Sizing & Fit
Your wetsuit is sized using JANGA’s size guide and fit parameters to ensure correct balance through the shoulders, torso, arms, and legs. A proper fit minimizes flushing and maximizes warmth and comfort.
Step 4 — Design
This is where it gets personal. Colors and patterns are up to you — go bold with contrast or keep it clean and minimal. Your wetsuit isn’t just built to perform; it’s made to look right in the lineup.
Step 5 - Build and Quality Control
This is where everything comes together.
Your wetsuit is handmade by skilled craftsmen, using the exact options you’ve chosen — from colors and panel layout to inner lining (thermal or standard), and hooded or hoodless design.
All JANGA custom wetsuits are built with glued, blind-stitched, triple-stitched seams, hand-taped on the inside, with reinforced stress points in high-wear areas.
Each suit is checked at multiple stages along the way to make sure the seams are clean, the fit is right, and the quality is consistent — before it ever reaches the water.
Step 6 — Delivery & Final Fit Check
Once completed, your custom-made wetsuit is shipped directly to you. Production typically takes up to 30 days, with free U.S. delivery included.
Neoprene Matters — Materials Used in Tailored Wetsuits
What Is Yamamoto Neoprene?
Yamamoto neoprene is a premium limestone-based neoprene produced in Japan. It’s widely used in high quality custom tailored suits due to its softness, flexibility, and thermal efficiency.
Yamamoto vs Standard Neoprene
Compared to traditional petroleum-based rubber, Yamamoto Japanese limestone neoprene is:
- Lighter
- More elastic
- Lower in water absorption
This improves comfort, warmth, and overall performance.
Stretch, Buoyancy & Thermal Retention
Ultra-stretch neoprene allows the wetsuit to move naturally with the body. Reduced water absorption helps maintain buoyancy and insulation throughout long sessions.
